Certified translations for a request for evidence (RFE)
A request for evidence (RFE) is a notice from USCIS asking for more documents, with a response date printed on the notice. If some of the documents are in Spanish, USCIS generally asks for a complete English translation with the translator's signed certification. We do not give legal advice and we are not affiliated with USCIS: read your notice carefully and ask your attorney about your deadline.
What to tell us right away
- The response date printed on your notice
- Which documents the notice asks for and which of them are in Spanish
- How many pages each document has
- Whether the documents are photos, scans or originals in poor condition
Put the response date in the Urgent field of the quote form. We tell you whether we can meet it, and the rush fee, before you decide.
A worked price example
Two one-page Spanish documents are two standard pages: 2 x US$10 = US$20, with the US$15 minimum applying to the whole order. A rush fee is quoted per order and confirmed in writing before you pay.
To save time
- Send every page and both sides, with stamps and notes visible.
- Take photos in daylight, flat on a table, without flash.
- Names are translated exactly as written. Tell us if a name is spelled differently on your passport.
What we do not promise
We cannot guarantee that an agency will accept a translation or approve a case, and we cannot extend a deadline set by USCIS. We deliver a complete, certified translation.
